Clinical Examination

Nerve conduction studies are routinely employed as part of the clinical examination of suspected disorders of the peripheral nervous system. A complete physical examination usually starts at the head and proceeds all the way to the toes. At the end of the physical examination you must decide what is wrong with the patient. The clinical examination in a patient who has possible glaucoma is similar to the ocular examination of any new patient. In case of more than one symptom ask which one came first, second and so on until the last one. Most jurisdictions have independent state boards of physical therapy but some jurisdictions have physical therapy boards as part of state medical boards or combined with other professions.
